Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Life Pattern collects and uses data when you use our self-exploration, personality, relationship, and decision-assistance features.
1. What we collect
- Account data: Google login identifier, email, name, profile image, authentication session cookie, subscription tier, and account timestamps.
- Birth/profile inputs: birth date, birth time, gender, city/timezone/longitude inputs, relationship partner inputs when you use relationship features, and selected reading focus.
- Generated reports: calculated BaZi / Five Elements / pattern metadata, AI interpretation text, module usage, cached generation status, and recent reports for your account.
- Payment data: plan, PayPal order/capture identifiers, payment status, refund/cancellation status, and billing metadata. We do not store full card details.
- Analytics and device data: IP address, browser/device information, pages visited, events, cookies/local storage, Google Analytics data, and Microsoft Clarity session analytics when permitted.
- Support and feedback: messages, ratings, testimonials, refund reasons, and correspondence you send us.
2. Why we use data
Provide the service
Calculate charts, generate AI explanations, save reports, enforce quotas, and keep accounts logged in.
Payments
Create PayPal checkout orders, activate plans, process cancellations, and handle refunds/disputes.
Safety and abuse prevention
Rate limit requests, protect accounts, debug errors, and prevent misuse.
Improve the product
Understand aggregate usage and UX issues through analytics where allowed.
3. Legal bases where GDPR/UK GDPR applies
- Contract: account, readings, paid plans, quotas, support, and saved reports.
- Consent: non-essential analytics cookies and similar tracking, where required.
- Legitimate interests: security logs, anti-abuse, basic diagnostics, and product reliability.
- Legal obligation: transaction, refund, tax/accounting, and dispute records where required by law.
4. Third-party services
- Google OAuth: sign-in and account identity.
- Supabase: database, account records, reports, templates, usage, consent/refund records.
- DeepSeek / AI model provider: AI interpretation of structured astrology/personality inputs. Do not submit sensitive information you do not want processed.
- PayPal: checkout, payment capture, subscription activation, refund/dispute events.
- Google Analytics: traffic and product analytics, loaded after analytics consent where required.
- Microsoft Clarity: UX/session analytics, loaded after analytics consent where required.
- Cloudflare / hosting infrastructure: security, routing, TLS, and delivery logs.
- Resend/email infrastructure: operational alert or support email where configured.
5. Retention
- Account and subscription records: while your account is active, then as needed for security, legal, tax, and dispute obligations.
- Saved readings/reports: retained for your account history unless you delete them or request deletion, subject to legal retention needs.
- Payment/refund records: retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, and legal obligations.
- Analytics data: retained according to the settings of Google Analytics/Microsoft Clarity and our operational needs.
- Local storage: form drafts, usage state, and consent preferences stay in your browser until you clear them.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can access recent reports in your account and delete individual generated records where the account UI provides deletion.
- You can request access, correction, export, deletion, or objection/restriction where applicable by emailing us.
- You can change analytics cookie preferences through the cookie banner or by clearing site data in your browser.
- You can cancel a paid plan from the account/billing area where available.
7. Children and sensitive use
Life Pattern is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The service is for entertainment and self-reflection, not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or employment decisions.
8. International transfers and security
Our providers may process data in multiple countries. We use access controls, HTTPS, provider security controls, and limited operational access, but no internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when features, providers, laws, or data practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date above.
